With the New Year, new brands have made it to the leaderboard of the Top 10 Most-Watched Indian Ads on YouTube. This month, Uber Eats tops the list with its relatable advertisement featuring Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt. Other new brand entries on the list are Vodafone, Pepperfry, Zomato, Lays, 7UP, Kia Motors & more. A noticeable trend this month is the brands stuck to crisper campaigns with an average duration of about 35 seconds.

1. Alia’s Tinda Moment! | Uber Eats

Expanding from a transportation service, Uber introduced their food delivery service, Uber Eats to the Indian market recently. They roped in Bollywood’s favourite actress Alia Bhatt and the web’s favourite actor, Dhruv Sehgal to get a bang for their buck with this relatable ad campaign. Apart from the refreshing duo, the advertisement highlighted a clever take on the word “Tinda” where Alia simply chooses to ignore the not-so-preferred vegetable chooses to order from Uber Eats instead.

The campaign saw major success by garnering more than 50.3 million views and secured the first spot on the list of Top 10 Most Watched Indian Ads on YouTube in the month of January 2019.

2. Vodafone | Making India Data Strong in crowded places

With this new advertisement campaign, Vodafone had an objective - to highlight their Vodafone SuperNet 4G - which the provider claims gets stronger by adding a tower every hour in crowded places. The ad takes a funny spin at how their network engineers don’t want to be bothered by you not being able to stream videos and play games even in packed buses. This #StrongerEveryHour campaign garnered more than 37.9 million views which put it at the second spot on the list of Top 10 Most Watched Indian Ads on YouTube in the month of January 2019.

To get their customers to feel truly Republic this year, Pepperfry created a celebratory advertisement campaign to announce up to 50 per cent off and 10 per cent cashback on almost everything. The ad features people celebrating with fantastic furniture inside their homes. It garnered more than 19.2 million views placing it at the third spot on the list of Top 10 Most Watched Indian Ads on YouTube in the month of January 2019.

4. No Cooking January Zomato Friends (Hindi) 15 Sec

In their new ad campaign, Zomato recommends that everyone give their cooks a full months holiday and avail of their ‘No Cooking January’ scheme which gives them up to 50 per cent off on orders made via the app. The advertisement is concise and to the point which helped it to gain more than 17.8 million views so far. It stands on the fourth spot on the list of Top 10 Most Watched Indian Ads on YouTube in the month of January 2019.

5. LAY'S MAXX - MAXX RIDGES! MAXX CRUNCH! MAXX FLAVOURS!

LAY’S MAXX product vertical promises a crunch with a punch of intense flavours and intends to turn your evenings into Maxx Adventures. Their new campaign is along those lines which makes it seem like a larger-than-life bar fight will ensue, but it’s the MAXX crunch that brings the house down. With more than 16.9 million views, it stands on the fifth spot on the list of Top 10 Most Watched Indian Ads on YouTube in the month of January 2019.

6. #GoldenTimesWith7UP

Have faith in the #GoldenTimesWith7UP as their new ad campaign aims at giving everyone a chance at winning Gold coins every hour! The advertisement is an Indian slice-of-life storyline where a son is asking his dad for money while the dad disapproves. With more than 13.9 million views, it stands on the sixth spot on the list of Top 10 Most Watched Indian Ads on YouTube in the month of January 2019.

7. Get A 2in1 Hair Curler-Straightener Free with TRESemmé | TRESemmé India

This new ad campaign by TRESemme is aimed at only highlighting their additional freebie - a 2in1 Hair Curler-Straighter - that is available with the product. It stylishly features the same model in two distinct looks of straight hair and curled hair. With more than 13 million views, it stands at the seventh spot on the list of Top 10 Most Watched Indian Ads on YouTube in the month of January 2019.

8. Open Up the Surprise | Australian Open 2019 | Kia Motors

This Kia Motors advertisement showcases how #RafaelNadal and fans are going to enjoy the global tennis festival with trippy bubbles all around the stadium. The ad is a visual treat as Nadal is seen performing his best. With more than 12.3 million views, it stands on the eighth spot on the list of Top 10 Most Watched Indian Ads on YouTube in the month of January 2019.

9. Prepare your family to #BounceBack with HDFC Life

HDFC Life strikes an emotional chord with their new ad campaign. Their message is that in life, often it is the most challenging times that bring out the best in us. A strong will to fight and the right financial support could help us #BounceBack. In the ad, they celebrate the life of Darpan Inani who is the first visually impaired Indian to win in his rating category. With more than 9.1 million views, it stands on the ninth spot on the list of Top 10 Most Watched Indian Ads on YouTube in the month of January 2019.

10. Superstay Matte Inks Lasts up to 16 Hours! | Maybelline New York

The new Maybelline New York ad majorly features supermodel Gigi Hadid amongst others. The ad features their Superstay Matte product which stays intact for up to 16 hours and is now available in 20 shades. With more than 8.2 million views, it stands on the tenth spot on the list of Top 10 Most Watched Indian Ads on YouTube in the month of January 2019.
