He has been with TBWA since 2005.
Arindam Sengupta, vice president, South, TBWA India, has decided to move on from the agency, after a long stint of over nine years. Sengupta, who is Bengaluru-based, will soon move to Mumbai to join a rival advertising agency, we learn from highly placed industry sources.
Sengupta has been with TBWA India since 2005. After heading the agency's Bengaluru operations for around four to five years, in 2009 he took over as head of the agency's Chennai office. This was back when Amarnath Pingalay, the then head of TBWA Chennai moved out.
Before joining TBWA, Sengupta worked with agencies like Lowe, Saatchi & Saatchi and Mudra.
On the management front, TBWA has seen a fair deal of senior level churn in 2014. In March this year, the agency lost its group CEO Shiv Sethuraman (now CEO, Percept One). TBWA replaced Sethuraman with Vineet Bajpai, who was previously CEO of Magnon TBWA, the agency's digital arm. Currently, Bajpai runs the TBWA India Group as CEO.
Recall that earlier this month, Nirmalya Sen, former president, TBWA India, ended his nine year-long relationship with the agency to join Havas Worldwide India as CEO.
Owned by the Omnicom Group, TBWA is positioned as 'The Disruption Agency'.
