The 60th edition of the International Festival of Creativity has begun on a sleepy Sunday with three Direct shortlists for India.
Two of these shortlists are for Leo Burnett Mumbai and one for DDB Mudra Group, Mumbai. Both of Burnett's shortlists are for its Coca-Cola campaigns for Coke Studio: one for the Reflection of Music - Table Mat creative and the other for the Reflection of Music - Installation creative.
The Table Mat creative lies in the 'Ambient Media - Small Scale' sub-category under the Direct category, while the Installation creative lies in the 'Publications & Media' sub-category.
DDB Mudra's Help Desk campaign for its client Aarambh is what got the agency its sole Direct shortlist. This lies in the Best Low Budget sub-category.
In the Direct category, this year, there are a total of 2578 entries from world over, which is a 9 per cent increase from last year's 2357.
Of this year's 2578 only 247 got shortlisted. India's three are part of these 247.
It now remains to be seen whether Burnett and Mudra's Direct nominations win us any Lions. We'll know soon enough.
