UAE-based premium travel website Musafir.com is currently in the process of meeting creative and media agencies.
afaqs! learns that the brand team has been in conversation with several medium to large-sized creative agencies over the past few weeks. One round of presentations is over. Now, the brand team is all set to initiate a pitch for media planning/buying agencies.
The company plans to launch India-specific packages and focus on Indian travellers/outbound travel from India in the days ahead; for the same, the agencies in the fray will be required to present their launch strategy for the brand.
The process is underway in Mumbai. Market sources peg the media spends in the region of Rs 10-15 crore. The media mix will be a 360 degree effort including TV, claim sources.

The portal was founded by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, Sachin Gadoya and Albert Dias in August, 2007 and was inaugurated by Thani on April 23, 2009. The brand is incorporated under Universal Travels & Tourism LLC, an IATA-accredited travel agency which was founded by Thani and Gadoya in 2005.
