Truck manufacturer MAN Trucks India is on the lookout for a creative partner. The pitch is for its existing product portfolio as well as for an upcoming new truck range.
The process is currently underway in Pune and around eight creative agencies are in the fray for the account.
MAN Trucks India belongs to The MAN Group, a Germany-based manufacturer of commercial vehicles, engines and mechanical engineering equipment.
In 2006, MAN formed a JV (joint venture) with Force Motors, India. The JV was called MAN Force Trucks (MFTPL). Recently, Force Motors exited the JV and sold its share to MAN, after which MAN Trucks India became a whole subsidiary of MAN Truck & Bus AG.
Back in the 1950s, MAN supplied Shaktiman trucks to the Indian armed forces.
The company's current product portfolio includes the MAN Tipper range (for mining and construction applications), the MAN Haulage range and the MAN Special Applications range (including transit mixers for construction purposes, disaster management vehicles and public utility vehicles).
Earlier this year, MAN Trucks entered the bus segment with the launch of MAN Airobus, a 45-seater inter-city air conditioned coach.
