Jha will handle the brands Nerolac, HDFC Mutual Fund, and Oral B, amongst others.
Publicis Ambience has recently roped in Chandan Jha as general manager, account management. As part of his immediate mandate at the agency, he will handle three key brands, namely, Nerolac, HDFC Mutual Fund, and a part of P&G (Oral B), amongst several others.
Jha will be based in the agency's Mumbai office, and will report to Paritosh Srivastava, executive vice-president, Publicis Ambience, Mumbai. Jha replaces Debajyoti Dutta, who recently moved out of this role; Dutta moved on to Chosen, a creative agency located in South Jakarta.
Jha moves in from the Mumbai-based Curry-Nation, where he was in charge of managing the business for brands such as Emami and Cavinkare. At Curry-Nation, Jha was also responsible for spearheading the agency's new business initiatives.
On his appointment at Publicis Ambience, Jha comments, "I'm keen to work with the team at Publicis Ambience. Considering the fact that the agency has some of the most respected clients, I'm sure it will be a hugely-rewarding experience. I will work towards raising not only the occasional bar, but the floor altogether on the businesses."
Addressing Jha's appointment, Srivastava says, "I've known Jha for a long time, and wanted to make him a part of my team. When this position came up, we knew he was the right guy. We look forward to him bringing his energy, passion and entrepreneurial skills to manage and grow businesses."
Jha, who has over 10 years of experience, has always been a client servicing professional. He started his career in advertising at McCann Erickson, Mumbai, as a management trainee. After that, he moved to Ogilvy India, and then to Leo Burnett. After a short stint with JWT, thereafter, Jha moved to Curry-Nation.
Some of the key brands that he has worked on in his career so far include Reliance Mobile, Etisalat, Hutch, ITC Foods, BIG TV, Colors, Radio Mirchi, NDTV, MTR Foods, UTI Bank, and SAB Miller, amongst others.
