GSK Consumer Healthcare, a category leader in Indian health food drinks industry, has appointed Anurita Chopra as area marketing lead, oral health.
Chopra will be based in Gurgaon and will report to Manoj Kumar, managing director, GSK Consumer Healthcare, for the Indian sub-continent. Chopra succeeds Charubala Sheshadri who moves on to Nyon, Switzerland, as global marketing director for respiratory health, GSK Consumer Healthcare.
Announcing Chopra's appointment, Kumar says, "(Anurita) Chopra brings with her over 16 years of rich consumer marketing and brand management experience and has an exceptional track record of business successes in each of her previous roles. I am confident that under her able leadership our oral healthcare category will deliver on our aggressive growth plans."

She joins GSK Consumer Healthcare from Philips India where she was business head for the personal care category. Prior to that, she was category head, mobile phones for Nokia India. Chopra has earlier worked with PepsiCo and Hindustan Unilever as manager, marketing, for in-home snacking (Kurkure), and brand manager, Bru coffee, respectively. She holds a Master's degree from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai.
GSK Consumer Healthcare claims to be a category leader in the Indian health food drinks industry with its range of products like Horlicks and Boost. In India, the company claims to employ over 4,700 employees. GSK also markets and distributes a range of everyday health products such as Eno, Crocin, Iodex, and Sensodyne.
