Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages has appointed Rohit Gothi as executive director, market operations. He moves from Bharti Airtel, where he was the CEO, Delhi region.
Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, the company-owned bottling operations of The Coca-Cola Co in India, has appointed Rohit Gothi as its executive director, market operations. Gothi will directly oversee all field operations of the company encompassing all front-end operations, including the seven Operating Zones, Alternative Engines of Growth (Bottom of Pyramid, Online and Alternative Beverages) and National Key Accounts (excluding bulk water).
He will assume the new responsibility from July 15 and will report to T. Krishnakumar, CEO, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages. Gothi has over 20 years of experience and moves from Bharti Airtel where he was working as CEO, Delhi.
In earlier stints, Gothi has also worked in Lornamead Personal Care, Kaya Life, Marico and Shalimar Paints. Says Krishnakumar, "Rohit has been inducted into the HCCBPL talent pool to strengthen the sales system and accelerate growth opportunities in India. In the role as executive director - marketing operations, he will be responsible for all the front end operations and focus on building profitable revenue growth".
Over last few years, HCCBPL, the largest bottling operations of the Coca-Cola system in India has worked towards developing a strong supply chain and manufacturing organization. It is estimated to contribute up to 65 per cent of the volumes to Coca-Cola in India. It has a distribution system spanning more than a million outlets.
