The appointments are a move to preserve the culture of advertising that is under threat says the agency.
Scarecrow M&C Saatchi has announced elevations of three of its “oldest believers” as part of a move to protect the culture of advertising which it believes is getting lost in the “increasing amounts of mergers, acquisitions and consolidations of traditional mainline agencies along with an ever-increasing demand for digital.”
The elevations: Kapil Tammal as National Creative Director, and Lalit Sakurkar and Yuvraj Gorule as Group Creative Directors.
Kapil Tammal has been a part of Scarecrow M&C Saatchi since 2011. He’d previously worked with the founders Manish Bhatt and Raghu Bhat at McCann.
Lalit Sakurkar became the agency’s art director in 2011 and left the agency for a brief period in 2016 to join DDB Mudra. He rejoined Scarecrow M&C Saatchi as Group Head in 2018.
Yuvraj Gorule started as a studio artist and went on to become an art director at the agency.
“Culture is never constant; it keeps evolving. Together the three shall hold the responsibility of leading the agency forward by preserving the culture that it's built on while also creating and curating new means of creativity and craft in the field of advertising,” says Manish Bhatt, founder director of Scarecrow M&C Saatchi.
