India Today Group chief executive officer (CEO) Vivek Khanna has decided to move on after spending a year at the company to pursue other professional interests. Khanna joined India Today Group in November 2017.

Before joining India Today Group, Khanna was CEO, Hindustan Media Ventures (HMV), and has over 27 years of experience in strategy, sales and marketing.
An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, Khanna began his career with Hindustan Unilever and Aviva Life Insurance. He moved to HT Media in 2008. Since 2013, he has been the chief executive officer of HMV. As business head of Mint, Khanna identified the key reasons why someone would advertise in Mint since it was a new player in the crowded business paper market. He also launched India's first international newspaper in Singapore: MintAsia.
