Neeraj Arora, chief business officer of WhatsApp, has decided to step down from the role. The announcement was made in a Facebook post by Arora himself on his personal FB profile.

The news was later confirmed by a Whatsapp spokesperson saying, “WhatsApp is grateful for the dedication, focus, and outstanding work of our early leaders and team. We remain deeply committed to providing a way for people to communicate privately now and in the future.”

Arora mentioned in his post that he would be 'taking some time off to recharge and spend time with family.'

An alumnus of IIT Delhi, Arora has had stints with Google, Paytm and Times Internet.
