Jagran Film Festival is inviting entries for the 'Cinema of the Sellers' section that honours the best stories that are told in the shortest span of time.
The Jagran Film Festival, in its sixth edition, is currently inviting entries for the best advertising commercial category under the 'Cinema of the Sellers' section. The section was incorporated in 2014 with an aim of helping ad filmmakers understand and interact with consumers.
TVCs released in any language between September 30, 2014 and August 31, 2015 will compete for the gold, silver and bronze awards, which were claimed in the first edition by Anchor Panasonic Video Door Phone, Tata Tea 'Kala Tika' and Bisleri, respectively. Censor board approval is mandatory for all participating commercials.
The jury at the second edition of 'Cinema of the Sellers' comprises KV Sridhar (chief creative officer, India, SapientNitro), Sonal Dabral (chairman and CCO, DDB Mudra), Ashish Bhasin (chairman and CEO- South Asia, Dentsu Aegis Network) and Raj Nair (CCO of Madison BMB). This year, the organisers expect to get around 100 entries.
Jagran Film Festival (JFF) is an initiative by Jagran Group towards creating a culture of cinema appreciation. It screens films across genres from around the globe. Last year, with over 16 towns, 400 plus screenings and16 cinema appreciation workshops, the festival claims to have touched an audience of over 50,000 people.
This year, JFF will commence in Delhi. Travelling through Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Dehradun, Hisar, Ludhiana, Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Raipur, Indore and Bhopal, it will culminate in Mumbai.
An additional section called 'Happiness Spirit', which will showcase a collection of 10-15 special films, has also been introduced this year.
