Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has balanced himself on two bikes and two horses; now, he has been left far behind in an epic act done by 80′s action star Jean-Claude Van Damme for Volvo Trucks.
The Hollywood star has done a split between two Volvo trucks in a new viral ad that went up on YouTube on November 13.
In the shot, as the camera pulls back, Van Damme is seen standing on the rear-view mirrors of two parallel trucks moving backward on an empty chunk of highway.
The film was designed to show the stability of Volvo's steering. The stunt is so incredibly perfect that many have doubted its authenticity, but Volvo has declared that its new viral online commercial featuring the actor and the two moving Volvo FM trucks are for real.
"The stunt is real and is performed in just one take," Anders Vilhelmsson, public relations manager for the Volvo Trucks brand, told The Wall Street Journal.
The ad posted to YouTube has so far been viewed over 43 million times as on Friday evening.
It's all about branded content this week, and Volvo Trucks has been jumping in on the action for quite some time now. The company, in September 2013, came up with the Volvo Hamster Stunt Video to showcase its dynamic steering feature, which is meant to be so light that a hamster could steer a truck up a mountain!
Besides that, videos like The Running Bulls Stunt and the Hook Stunt have also become very popular on digital platforms.
