Brands show off 'swadeshi' wares after PM Modi's speech about self reliance

Whether they rival global MNC players in their respective segments or not, desi brands took to social media to remind us about their roots. Here's a look at some posters.

Last evening at 8:00 pm, the nation lapped up Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 40 minute long speech about the state of affairs with respect to our fight against coronavirus and an economic stimulus package of Rs.20 lakh crore to revive the struggling economy. During his address, he reiterated the need for India to be completely self reliant and independent in the context of manufacturing and production.

Homegrown brands have been quick to latch on to this and several branded posters reminding consumers about their local roots have been inundating social media channels since morning.
