In his absence, Arghya Chakravarty, who currently occupies the position of CEO of Times OOH, will head the company.
Veteran marketer Sunder Hemrajani has announced retirement as managing director of Times Innovative Media (a subsidiary of Bennett Coleman & Co), a leading player in the Out of Home (OOH) media. He joined the company in 2007. The company then created this position, sighting the unprecedented growth in the OOH industry.
A Harvard Business School alumnus, Hemrajani has 35 years of experience in sales, marketing and general management functions in leading companies like Hindustan Unilever, Whirlpool, PepsiCo, Reliance Capital and Times.
Prior to joining Times Innovative media, he was president, distribution at Reliance Capital. He also had a 14-year long stint with Hindustan Unilever where he handled senior assignments in HPC (home & personal care) and foods businesses.
Hemrajani moved to Whirlpool in 1995 as vice president - sales, where he was involved in successful integration of the refrigerator and washer businesses and the launch of Whirlpool brand in India. In 1999, he joined PepsiCo to lead the company-owned bottling operation in North and East and subsequently moved to corporate office where he was executive director, sales for South Asia Business Unit. A mechanical engineer from Delhi College of Engineering, Hemrajani holds an MBA from FMS, Delhi.
