Delhi-based eg. Communications has won the train wrap branding rights for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for a period of 10 years.

The agency already holds the inside branding rights for the Delhi Metro train for last 12 years. Delhi Metro has turned to be a lifeline for commuters in Delhi as it connects the NCR regions such as Noida, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad with the Delhi.

The Metro provides an ideal opportunity for brands to connect with a wide cross-section of the target groups. According to a company spokesperson, the decision to introduce train wraps is driven by the emerging needs of advertisers to beat the clutter in media space and position their brand's larger-than-life image. This option will help brands stand out and get noticed.

For the record, the first section of Phase-I of the Delhi Metro was made operational on December 25th, 2002. DMRC has since completed the construction of Phase-I & Phase-II comprising 138 stations and a network of around 190 km and has already put them under operation. As of today, DMRC's network comprises six operational lines with a ridership of around 2.7 million commuters per day.

eg. Communications has been in the field of advertising for more than 11 years, serving clients across various sectors - government, national, FMCG, corporate, private companies, educational institutions and NGOs. It provides services in print, outdoor, electronic media, event management, public relations and website designing.
