The agency bagged the award for an estimated sum of Rs 65 crore
NS Publicity, the Rs 200 crore out of home player, recently bagged the Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC) tender for exclusive advertising rights on the civil structures from Mehrauli to Gurgaon. The agencies that were in the fray were Advert Communications, Big Street and Pioneer Publicity.
The Jaipur based agency won the project for an estimated sum of Rs 65 crore for a duration of eight years. There will be a 5 per cent escalation in the annual fee through this period. This win gives the company exclusive advertising rights on an approximate display area of 10,800 sq. ft.
Confirming the development, KD Maheshwari, chief executive officer, NS Publicity, says, "With this win, NS Publicity has further enhanced its position in the Delhi market and has established a strong presence."
He says that the quality of display material needs to be improved in line with the international standards, given that many corporate clients seem keen on taking up displays at these structures.
The line from Mehrauli is the only connecting route between South Delhi and Gurgaon, other than the NH-8 and therefore, it is important for any advertiser to be present here.
The elevated 14.47 km stretch has nine stations, including Qutub Minar, Chhatarpur, Ghitorni, Sikandarpur, DT City Centre, IFFCO Chowk and HUDA City Centre. According to DMRC, by 2011, this line is expected to serve 1.8 lakh commuters every day.
For NS Publicity, the win is in line with the company's growth plans. The agency has bagged several awards for DMRC properties, NDMC utilities and the FOB (foot over bridge) and bus shelter projects in Noida. The company plans to invest in long term media properties.
Part of the Shakun Group, NS Publicity has a market share of 85 per cent in Rajasthan. Its inventory base comprises skywalks, gantries, innovative display towers, designer unipoles and benches. It is the AOR of more than 50 companies and provides media solutions on a pan-India basis.
