This delivery mode maintains the minimum distance between customer and delivery person; a much-needed precaution to prevent coronavirus' spread.
COVID – 19 has forced several companies to instruct their employees to work-from-home. It is a safety precaution intended to keep the virus from spreading. But, the rise in people working from home may also lead to an increase in the number of food items ordered online.
Keeping this surge in mind and also the health of their delivery personnel and customers, several fast-food outlets have introduced 'contactless delivery'. It's a mode of delivery where food is delivered without the customer and delivery person coming in contact herby maintaining the much-needed social distance which, in turn, helps to prevent the spread of the virus.
Here are how these fast-food chains are going about 'contactless delivery'.
