The News Broadcasters & Digital Association (NBDA) has said the I.N.D.I.A. alliance's decision to boycott 14 news anchors “goes against the ethos of democracy” and “takes the nation back to the Emergency era.”

The alliance on September 14, 2023, uploaded on social media a boycott list of 14 anchors from prominent news channels.

The NBDA has urged the alliance to withdraw its decision.
