The song 'Ek saccha kadam' is an initiative by Jagran Group. It has been composed and sung by singer Shaan.
Tired of debates and ads on Demonetisation? Prasoon Joshi, (chairman, McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific and CEO, McCann Worldgroup India), singer Shaan and Jagran Group have a song for you.
The over-four-minute song is a Hindi poem by Joshi. It goes...
Ek saccha kadam uthaaya hai, ek accha kadam uthaaya hai.
Mere desh ke dil mein jhaanko toh, mera desh aaj muskuraya hai.
The video is a montage of images which depict people from different walks of life. Dainik Jagran released the song on Twitter on November 30.
Replying to a congratulatory message, Shaan tweeted, "I composed this song without any black notes...'symbolic' to the cause!! Was immensely inspired by @prasoonjoshi_ 's poetry!! Do Listen."
Another popular singer, Sonu Nigam also came up with his composition called 'Kaagaz' on demonetisation. Conceptualised, written and narrated by Nigam, the over-three-minute video has been directed by Milap Milan Zaveri and produced by Zhoossh. "We are content, we are entertainment, and we are your daily dose on the internet. We are short, and we are snack-able," is how Zhoossh describes itself.
'Kaagaz' was released on YouTube on November 15, and has since then got over a million views.
