Former Zee Media Corporation Limited chief executive officer and executive director, RK Arora has launched 'JK 24X7 News', a 24/7 national Hindi news channel. In this new venture he will be partnered by Subash Chowdhary and Tapinder Kumar. The channel will operate under the JK Media Network banner which also runs 'Gulistan News' a regional news channel catering to the viewers of Jammu and Kashmir.
"The free-to-air channel is already available on major cable platforms and will shortly be available on all DTH platforms," assures the company in a media statement. "Aao Badle Hum" is the ethos of the channel and will forge forward to drive a change. The channel has recently hired over 70 professionals and is currently in the process of expansion.
A chartered accountant by profession, Arora has over 25 years of experience. He recently, stepped down as executive director and CEO of Zee Media Corporation Limited (ZMCL). Prior to ZMCL, he worked with various media houses viz. News Nation, India News, News 24 and India TV.
