GEC Watch: In Week 25, Star Plus replaces Colors as the No.1 channel in the urban market, Star Utsav remains at No.1 position in the rural market

Star Plus' Ye Hai Mohabbatein replaced Colors' Kavach as the most-watched show in the urban market, while Zee Anmol's Jodha Akbar remained the most-watched show in the rural market.

BARC Data: Top Hindi five GECs of Week 25 - June 18-June 24, 2016-HSM: NCCS All: 4+ Individuals: BARC India base - All India (U) and (R). (Impressions in 000s.)

Star Plus, which got pushed to No.2, lost viewership and had 438480 Impressions, compared to 477077 Impressions last week.

In Week 25 of BARC's viewership data for the urban market, Star Plus became the No.1 channel with an increase in viewership with 448071 Impressions compared to 438480 Impressions in Week 24.

Colors which got pushed to No.2 position, was due to a decrease in viewership with 430375 Impressions compared to 447336 Impressions last week.

Zee TV continued to be at No.3 position with an increase in the ratings, with 321132 Impressions compared to 295443 Impressions last week.

At No.4 was Life Ok with 267413 Impressions compared to 269294 Impressions last week.

At No.5 was Sony Entertainment Television with 251282 Impressions, after missing out to make it to the list of the top five-watched channels in the urban market.

As far as the rural data is concerned, Star Utsav continued to be at No.1 position with 353029 Impressions despite losing viewership (Last week: 403758 Impressions).

Sony Pal jumped to No.2 position with a marginal increase in viewership with 341930 Impressions from last week's 336981 Impressions.

Zee Anmol was at No.3 with 339857 Impressions compared to 355599 Impressions last week.

Zee TV jumped to No.4 position with 268868 Impressions compared to 233794 Impressions last week.

Rishtey was at No.5 position with a viewership of 252319 Impressions compared to last week's 262267 Impressions.

Top five shows in Hindi GECs (Urban)

Star Plus' Ye Hai Mohabbatein was the most-watched show, jumping to the No.1 spot with an average viewership of 7148 (Last week: 7021)

Once again, it was Star Plus' Saath Nibhana Saathiya at No.2 position with an average viewership of 6471 (Last week: 5980).

Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya made it to No.3 position with an average viewership of 5873 after missing out in last week's list of the top five watched shows.

Colors' Kavach, which was No.1 last week, got pushed to No.4 with a viewership of 5638 (Last week: 7114).

Colors' Kasam made it to No.5 position with an average viewership of 5212 after missing in last week's list.

Top five shows in Hindi GECs (Rural)

Zee Anmol's Jodha Akbar remained the No.1 watched show with an average viewership of 6456 (Last week: 7047).

Zee Anmol's Bandini remained at No.2 position this week with an average viewership of 5419 (Last week: 5308).

Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya jumped to No.3 position with an average viewership of 4607 (Last Week: 3783).

Star Utsav's Saath Nibhana Saathiya was at No.4 with an average viewership of 4259 (Last week: 4244).

Zee TV's Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani made it to the fifth position, with an average viewership of 4023 after missing in last week's list.
