Dish TV appoints Arun Kapoor as CEO

He replaces R C Venkateish who stepped down in October.

Dish TV, the direct-to-home (DTH) service owned by the Zee Group, has appointed Arun Kapoor as chief executive officer (CEO). He replaces R C Venkateish, who left the company in October, 2015. This is Kapoor's second stint as CEO at Dish TV. The first one was from November 2006 to April 2008.

Kapoor's most recent role was that of CEO of the distribution company Taj Television. Before that, he was CEO of Media Pro, also a distribution company, and was Group CEO of distribution businesses at Essel Group prior to that.
