Zee Media Corporation Limited (ZMCL) has elevated Pooja Gupta as marketing head. Gupta joined Zee Media in May this year as deputy vice-president of content strategy. Prior to ZMCL, Gupta was with News Nation for six months and with ITV Network for two years before that.
An official announcement said, "We are pleased to announce that Pooja Gupta, DVP, content strategy and marketing at Noida, will now be marketing head with immediate effect from November 9, 2015."
The statement adds, "With this, Gupta's expertise in content and marketing strategy and corporate communication will be used across the corporation to give us a greater competitive edge. This focus will build brand awareness of all the channels of Zee Media across various sectors/verticals, and with key stakeholders, leading to increased traction with our advertiser-customer."
The announcement also adds that Gupta's role will be to undertake a review of the branding and marketing proposition, in line with the development of Zee Media strategy, and she will continue to report to R K Arora, the Chief Operating Officer.

The ZMCL network has two national channels, namely, Zee News, and Zee Business. In addition to that, it comprises regional news channels like Zee 24 Taas, Zee Sangam, Zee Madhya Pradesh Chhattisgarh, Zee Marudhara, Zee Punjab Haryana Himachal, and Zee Kalinga. The company also operates two regional news channels 24 Ghanta, and Maurya TV through Zee Akaash News and Maurya TV respectively.
