She will oversee the entire business operations and functioning of Midday, Inext, Jagran online and other print and non-print businesses within the Group.
Apurva Purohit, CEO of Radio City, (acquired by Jagran Prakashan recently), is joining the parent company as president. She will oversee the entire business operations and functioning of Midday, Inext, Jagran online and other print and non-print businesses besides Radio city and shall also participate in strategic decision making for the Group. In addition, to oversee certain functional areas of the core business of Dainik Jagran shall also be part of her work.
Purohit brings with her 25 years of media experience that ranges from partnering private equity players in building superior organisations and create valuable businesses, to handling media businesses and brands. Prior to her entry into the radio business, she worked in the television space with BCCL (Bennett, Coleman & Company Ltd) and Zee Telefilms. She has launched television brands like Zoom and the media buying agency Lodestar, and worked on the re-launch strategy for Zee TV.
