MediaCom has been awarded the consolidated media duties of Future Group, following a multi-agency pitch. This consolidation comes after MediaCom's win of Future Group's TV mandate in April 2014. Allied Media was the incumbent agency for print and other media. This is MediaCom's ninth win in 2015 and is estimated to be worth Rs.300 crore.

On partnering with MediaCom, Sandip Tarkas, president, customer strategy, Future Group, says, "Future Group has a very diverse set of businesses and is challenging for any media agency to handle. MediaCom used their experience on working on a part of the account and requirements very well, and impressed us all with their offerings. Their choice of the team lead in Ashwini Kamat also played an important role in making the decision - as we now have an agency with a very strong lineage, an understanding of our need, a solid experienced top management and a responsive and responsible team leader to handle our account. I wish them all the best."

Debraj Tripathy, MD, MediaCom, adds, "We feel privileged to partner with Future Group, undoubtedly the pioneers in the Indian retail space. It is a big responsibility and a challenge. The team is excited and is raring to go."

The Future Group business will be managed by MediaCom's Mumbai office. Ashwini Kamat, who led the pitch, will also oversee the business.
