Vishwanathan takes over from Sriram Sharma, who will now head Mindshare's South operations.
MediaCom has announced the appointment of Hariharan Vishwanathan (Vishi) as head - South. He will report to Rathi Gangappa, COO, MediaCom India. Vishwanathan takes over from Sriram Sharma, who will now head Mindshare's South operations.
Vishwanathan started his career in JWT (then HTA) as a media planner in 1994. Since then, he has worked across categories, agencies and roles in GroupM. Most recently, he was part of the CTG team in GroupM.
Commenting on the new role, he says, "I am excited to join MediaCom, and I look forward to learning and applying their systems thinking approach. Working across agencies and functions in GroupM has been an enriching experience, and I am happy that I will continue to do just that."
