Danish Khan, programming head, fiction, of Star Plus, is quitting the channel to join Sony Entertainment Television.
This will be Khan's second stint at Multi Screen Media's flagship channel. Prior to this, he was heading marketing for the channel till November 2012. He was then replaced by Gaurav Seth at Sony.
Khan will be replacing Nachiket Pantvaidya, who, along with Ajay Bhalwankar, is likely to take on a newer role within the network, a source informed.
Armed with more than 12 years of experience in advertising and broadcasting, Khan joined MSM's sports and movie channel, Max, in 2002 and moved on to become senior vice president and head of marketing for Sony Entertainment in 2008.
Before joining MSM, Khan was senior manager, strategic media planning at Mediacom India.
