Monica Tata, managing director of HBO India, has decided to end her two-year-long stint at the company. She had joined HBO in April 2013.
Based in Mumbai, Tata was responsible for introducing and developing various initiatives to enhance HBO's offerings in India and its subcontinent. Her role included providing strategic direction and managing partner relationships.
She had quit Turner International India, where she was general manager for Turner Networks South Asia, in November 2012. She had joined Turner International India in 2004 as vice president, advertising sales.
Tata has over 25 years of media experience. She started her career with Sunday Mail as a marketing executive in 1991. After spending about two years in the company, she moved on to join STAR India. She stayed with the group for about 12 years and moved on as senior vice president to join Turner International.
