Star Plus continues to lead the Hindi GEC space in Week 23, according to BARC data. However, the channel, along with Colors and SAB TV, has seen a decline in viewership. Star Plus clocked 366096 GVTs in week 23, as compared to last week's 395608 GVTs in Individual rating data (HSM 1L+ C&S).
Colors, at the second spot, recorded 328096 GVTs, while Zee TV garnered 237242 GVTs. Incidentally, Colors lost 40348 GVTs in this week - the highest loss in this week's viewership. Zee, meanwhile, added 4510 GVTs.
Life OK reported 232292 GVTs in week 23, as compared to 230076 GVTs in week 22. SAB TV lost 16483 GVTs this week and managed 186421 in week 23.
Among individual shows, the ones from Star Plus bagged the top three spots. The channel's 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya' garnered 6566 GVTs, as compared to 7168 GVTs in week 22. In the second spot is Star Plus' 'Kokila Ki Pyaari Gopi Vahu' with 6219 GVTs. Star Plus' 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' climbed to the third spot from last week's fifth spot with 4465 GVTs. Colors took the next two spots with 'Sasural Simar Ka' garnering 4,421 GVTs, while 'Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat' (No. 2 last week) bringing in 3,928 GVTs.
In the English news genre, as per NCCS AB (males 22+) Individuals: C&S 1Lac+ households ratings data, Times Now led the pack with 490 GVTs, as compared to last week's 264 GVTs. India Today Television slipped from the top spot this week, with a decline of 203 GVTs. The channel brought in 151 GVTs in week 23 as compared to last week's 354 GVTs. NDTV 24X7 claimed the third spot, pushing off News X from the list, with 129 GVTs.
