Star Pravah, a Marathi general entertainment channel from the Star India stable, is launching a new show to boost its early prime-time slot.

The show is called 'Arre Vedya Mana'. It is a love story.

It is scheduled to go on air on April 20, at 7:00 pm. Consequently, the existing show 'Priti Pari Tujhvari' has been moved to the 6:30 pm slot.

Says Star India's official spokesperson, "Star Pravah has always endeavoured to provide great stories and great characters to its viewers. We are crafting shows which appeal to today's youth. In 'Arre Vedya Mana', we are presenting likeable and relatable characters backed by a gripping story. We are confident our young viewers will experience as much pleasure while watching this show as we had while creating it."

In order to promote the show on social media, Star Pravah has created a hashtag #FirstLove.

The show is about Madhuri (played by Nupur Parulekar), a free-spirited, young Maharashtrian girl, who is pampered and lives life on her own terms. Her life changes when a boy called Swapnil (played by Abhijit Aamkar) falls in love with her. Though they are polar opposites, he is willing to accept her just the way she is.

Other actors in the show include Ravindra Mankani, Avinash Narkar, Ujwala Jog, Anuradha Rajadhyakash and Nilima Parandkar.

The title track has been sung by Vaishali Samant and Hrishikesh Ranade. The music has been composed by Nilesh Moharir with lyrical support by Mandar Cholkar.
