Sony Entertainment Television, the flagship Hindi GEC from Multi Screen Media, is set to reveal the challenging world of news reporting in a contemporary way through its new show 'Reporters'.

Featuring television and Bollywood actor Rajeev Khandelwal and Kritika Kamra, the show is being produced by Rose Audio Visuals. The show revolves around the life of journalists with an intense underlying love story. It will air from Monday to Thursday at 9 PM.

Meanwhile, the channel has kicked-off auditions for its singing reality show, 'Indian Idol Junior' in Kolkata. For the first time, the channel is also conducting auditions for the show online, through a digital process called 'Digital Ace'. To take part, the kids have to upload their best audio or video performances on the Sony LIV website or the Sony LIV App. A digital jury will review all the performances and will select 12 who will be called to Mumbai for the Jury Round. Out of the 12 performances, the Top 4 will get an opportunity to perform in front of the show's judges.

Gaurav Seth, senior vice president and marketing head, Sony Entertainment Television, says, "Digital Ace will only help kids to give the long lines a skip and impress the judges through their audios or videos. It's definitely an endeavour that will help aspirants all over. Also, in our promise to bring differentiated and compelling stories to our viewers, we are launching 'Reporters'. While news making forms the backdrop, the love story between our lead protagonists forms the crux of the show."

'Reporters' is being directed by filmmaker Goldie Behl. Srishti Arya of Rose Audio Visuals says, "We are glad to associate once again with Sony Entertainment Television. The channel is known for its progressive and path-breaking content. The story of 'Reporters' is one which will not only create intrigue, but also provoke thought and reactions from the audience."

The Plot: Set against a backdrop of a media house, 'Reporters' follows the journey of a respected journalist Kabir Sharma (played by Khandelwal) and a budding reporter Ananya Kashyap (played by Kamra). According to the channel, the show is a story of these two "strong and conflicting individuals who are destined to be together". Poles apart, Kabir and Ananya seem like an unlikely pair, but there is a karmic connection which pulls them together.

While Kabir is considered a legend in the media world and an inspiration for all aspiring journalists, Ananya is a strong-willed girl who dreams of making it big in the fierce world of television journalism. Having contradicting principles and work ethics, they instantly dislike each other from the time they lay eyes on one another. How these two opinionated individuals come together and embark on an undulating journey of discovery, amidst all the controversies, makes 'Reporters' a show to watch out for, the channel claims.

Meanwhile, 'Indian Idol Junior 2' will be judged by Vishal Dadlani, Salim Merchant and Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha. Singer Shalmali Kholgade is the special judge for the auditions.

After Kolkata, the audition process will move to Delhi, Chandigarh and Mumbai.
