Sony Entertainment Television, the flagship Hindi GEC from Multi Screen Media, is bringing back its popular horror show 'Aahat'.

The show, being launched after a gap of four years, will occupy the weekday 11 PM slot on the GEC. Premiering on February 18, the show will be aired every Wednesday and Thursday.

Produced by BP Singh's Fireworks Productions, 'Aahat' will showcase stories that will haunt the audience for a long time. The channel claims that the season will be better, bolder, terrifying and more daunting than ever before.

Each episode of the show will feature a popular television actor as the narrator. The first episode will star actor Shakti Anand, while the subsequent episodes will feature TV actors such as Sukhmini Sadana, Aradhana Uppal, Abhishek Tiwari and Gurpreet Bedi.

Ajay Bhalwankar, chief creative director, Sony Entertainment Television, says, "We have seen that the appetite for horror as a genre has only increased over the years, and thus, we decided to bring back 'Aahat' for our audiences. Restless, visually sleek and powered by lithe star performances, 'Aahat' offers dark, thought-provoking thrills, and I am sure it will be appreciated by our viewers yet again."

Last year, Sony dabbled in the horror genre with Cinetek Telefilms' 'Bhoot Aya'. The show ran for six months.
