He has been associated with the agency for nine years.
Satbir Singh, managing partner and chief creative officer, Havas Worldwide India has quit, ending the nine-year long association with the agency. Singh joined EURO RSCG (later rebranded as Havas) in 2005 as executive creative director of the Delhi branch. His next move is still unknown.
"I am certain that every single person who has worked with him here will acknowledge his contribution in the growth of the agency and the brands in its care. I wish him all success as he takes on a new challenge," says Nirmalya Sen, chief executive officer, Havas Worldwide.
Singh has been associated with Euro RSCG in various roles. A year before it was rebranded Havas Worldwide, the agency made changes in the management team in India following Suman Srivastava's exit as CEO. As part of the process, the agency promoted Singh to managing partner while he continued to hold the chief creative officer (CCO) profile. He had been promoted as CCO in 2007.
Singh joined Euro RSCG from Ogilvy India, where he had been creative director. In his two-decade long career, he has worked on nearly every product category in agencies like Trikaya Grey (now Grey), Leo Burnett, Contract, Equus, Ulka, and Ogilvy.
He is recognised for his work on the Incredible India ads and Red FM's 'tune bajaate raho' campaign among others. He is credited with three PATA Asian Awards for Tourism Campaigns, including a Gold for India Tourism's 'Incredible India' campaign. He had also bagged an Abby Gold for the same campaign.
Singh has also won two One Show Entries - for Ambika Pillai's Saloon Opening and HOPE (Human Organs Procurement & Educational Trust). He has several other awards to his credit including one Gold and a Merit at the New York Festivals.
