Titled 'Bhanwar - Kalyug Ki Hairatangez Kahaniyaa', the show airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm.
Sony Entertainment Television, the flagship Hindi general entertainment channel from Multi Screen Media stable, has launched its fourth crime-based show. After the success of C.I.D, Adalat and Crime Patrol, the channel is planning to cash on the already "proved" formula by getting a courtroom drama series titled 'Bhanwar - Kalyug Ki Hairatangez Kahaniyaa'.
The show airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm. It replaces Crime Patrol, which has been moved to the 11 pm slot on the weekends. The courtroom drama revolves around stories of human excesses. The show depict many stories triggered off by intriguing true events which capture the volatile social relationships of today.
Ajay Bhalwankar, chief creative director, Sony Entertainment Television told afaqs! that crime has been working successfully for the channel since a long time and the show is just another innovative take on the same. "As the tagline for the show, 'Kalyug Ki Hairatangez Kahaniyaa' clearly articulates, this distinctive series is inspired by the twists and turns of true events, which reminds us that 'truth is always stranger than fiction'. The show promises to 'raise the benchmark' of crime shows on Indian Television."
Bhanwar aims at compelling society to wake up to the fact, that there is justice available for every crime committed. As the show unravels, each story will reveal shocking truths that can shake one's belief in humanity, the channel said.
