Mehta will be responsible for the on-air programming elements on BIG Magic and ensuring engaging comedy content for viewers.
BIG Magic, the Hindi GEC from Reliance Broadcast Network's bouquet of channels, has appointed Uditanshu Mehta as creative director. Mehta will be responsible for all the on-air programming elements on BIG Magic and for ensuring that there's ample engaging comedy content for the audiences. He will report to Tarun Katial, CEO, RBNL.
Says Katial, "Uditanshu brings with him diverse experience and understands the pulse of audiences seeking comedy entertainment. We look forward to have him work closely with the team and lead the product to its next level of growth." Mehta too is looking forward to the experience. Mehta has around 16 years of diverse experience in the television and film industry. He has worked at leading media and production houses like Miditech, UTV and SAB TV. At SAB, he was instrumental in changing the channel's positioning from an entertainment channel to a comedy channel.
He holds a degree in Political Science (Hons.) from Delhi University and a diploma in film making from FTII, Pune.
