Sakal Media has appointed Umesh Roy as head, Mumbai Unit. He will also be managing alternative sales and operations at the Mumbai unit of the Sakal Media Group with immediate effect. He has moved from Free Press Journal, where he was the marketing head, responsible for revenue generation.
He will report to Chandramohan Puppala - business head, SAAM TV and Sakal Mumbai and will be based out of our Belapur office in Maharashtra. Roy has over 20 years of experience in the industry.
His key role will be to innovate and identify new areas of business generation and developing strong sales teams. In all his previous roles, Roy has been responsible for the sales and marketing and overall profit and loss of the business.
He has also worked with the Sunday Observer, Lokmat Mumbai, Pioneer, Observer, B4U Television and Aakash Bangla.
