Autocar India announced a campaign that urges people to share the snapshots of reckless moments of driving by others. Titled 'The Uncool Moments Contest' the campaign attempts at drawing peoples' attention towards unruly drivers across India.

According to a 2012 report on Road Accidents in India by the Indian Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, a majority of road fatalities across the country involves young people.

This is a Facebook-based photo contest, which has been open for the people since June 2nd and will close by June 24th. The contest is a part of the campaign 'Unsafe is Uncool', and aims to promote safe and responsible driving amongst today's youth.

Ten winners will be selected by expert drivers from Autocar India. Entries that receive the maximum likes and shares will have higher chances to win the contest. The winners will be treated to high-end goodies such as JBL headphones and GO Puck chargers as prizes.

Speaking about the initiative, Hormazd Sorabjee, editor, Autocar India says, "While Autocar India is all about cars and reaching out to auto aficionados, we also aim to deliver the message of responsible driving. This platform allows the youth today to really identify what is uncool and, therefore, unsafe. We want to reach out to the growing number of young motorists by involving them in an activity that makes them understand the importance and urgency in exercising caution and driving responsibly."

People can participate in the contest at Autocar India's Facebook page at - or use the Twitter hashtag #UNSAFEISUNCOOL. Autocar India was launched in September 1999 and is one of the very popular magazines in the automobile space.
