Based in New Delhi, Narayanan will be responsible for driving strategy for the north region and new business development nationally.
Motivator India, GroupM's media buying agency, has appointed V Narayanan as chief growth officer. Narayanan moves to Motivator from another GroupM media planning and buying agency, Maxus India where he was designated as the general manager, North.
At Motivator, Narayanan will lead the next phase of growth, with an emphasis on the specialist practices of the agency. He will be responsible for driving strategy for the north region and new business development nationally.
Based in New Delhi, he will report in to Rabinder Thirumurthy (Rabe Iyer), managing director, Motivator. Says Iyer, "I am delighted to have Narayanan on the Motivator team. I have known him to be the strong, silent commander, who with his strategic thinking and clear dedication inspires the team to deliver their very best. Narayanan brings to the table around 20 years of experience in media planning. He joined Maxus in 2010 from Carat Singapore. He was GM at Carat and had spent around seven years at the agency.
Prior to taking over as GM for Carat Singapore, Narayanan was regional strategy director. In Singapore, he handled various businesses including Nokia, ANZ and RBS, and was also responsible for new business. Narayanan had also worked with Initiative Media, Leo Burnett Media (now Starcom). He has worked on businesses such as P&G, Coke, J&J and Unilever.
