After a stint of almost six years, SAB TV's marketing head Harjeet Chhabra has quit the channel, to join Adlabs Imagica.
His last day at SAB TV is May 5 and he will join the theme park on the very next day as chief marketing officer.
He will continue to be based in Mumbai.
A PGDBM in marketing from IPM Lucknow, Chhabra started his career as deputy manager, products at Zee Interactive learning systems in 2000. After spending around two years at the company, he joined Sansui as product manager, Colour Television and worked there for three years.
In 2005, he moved to Tata Communications as product manager of its out of home division. Within a year, he quit the company to join World Wide Media (the joint venture between TOI and BBC Worldwide) as general manager, marketing.
He was with WWM before joining SAB TV in 2008. The channel had changed its positioning just before he joined it, from 'youth entertainment channel' to 'family entertainment channel', focusing on comedy shows and delivering popular series like 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' and 'Chidiya Ghar'.
