Colors, the Viacom18 flagship Hindi general entertainment channel, plans to launch a new show titled 'Mission Sapne' during the summer of 2014.
The show will bring celebrities from different walks of life to leverage their fame for the benefit of the common man. According to the channel, it is a dramatic entertainment offering which conveys a strong social message to audiences. It will showcase celebrities step into the shoes of the 'aam aadmi' (common man) for a day, and face hardships to raise funds for those who struggle to make ends meet.
Bollywood celebrities and sportsmen like Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan, Harbhajan Singh, Mika Singh have confirmed their participation on the show. These 'famous' people, in order to help the lesser privileged ones, will take up their job up for a day to help them yield better outcomes. For instance, these people will be seen driving taxis, selling fish or becoming door-to-door salesmen. They will be required to use their talent, wit and star persona to ensure that business continues to boom for the people they are supporting and change their ordinary and tough life to an 'extraordinary' one.
