Arun Anant, ex CEO of The Hindu, has joined HT and will begin work by the end of this month.

Arun Anant, ex-CEO, The Hindu has joined Hindustan Times and will begin work by the end of this month. He will operate from Mumbai and New Delhi and drive revenue for the organisation.
The news has been confirmed to afaqs! by Benoy Roychowdhury, executive director, HT Media.
Anant was CEO of The Hindu Group and recently stepped down from this position. He had steered the launch of the group's new Tamil paper, The Hindu.
He has more than two decades of experience in consumer marketing, advertising and media.
Before The Hindu, he was also chief executive officer for BloombergUTV, business head at The Economic Times and a key member in the team that set up Myiris.com. He has an advertising career of 12 years and was general manager, strategy, Lintas and built several strong brands for Hindustan Unilever, Cadbury, J&J and Britannia, among others, in various roles in account servicing, account planning and market research.
