ZeeQ, the edutainment channel from the Zee Network stable, is bringing the second season of its quiz show, MI Four.
Starting October 28, the show will be aired every Monday and Tuesday at 6.30 pm.
Jayant Kripalani, actor turned writer, makes a comeback to television after a 10-year hiatus. He will host the second series of the quiz format show. The show will have 108 teams from all over India competing against each other through various levels of team performance. Each episode will have three teams with four contestants competing in three rounds. The show uses a mix of Hindi and English.
After 52 episodes, four teams will be selected as zonal champions, who will then battle it out in the Grand Finale for the title of 'MI Four - National Champions.' The questions on the show range from different categories including Indian heritage and culture, academics, sports and pop culture.
Season 2 brings to the audiences new rounds like Captain's Strike, Master Stroke and Final Clash, all building towards the ultimate battle of wits.
Subhadarshi Tripathy, business head, ZeeQ, says, "After receiving an overwhelming response for the first season of MI Four, it gives me great pleasure to announce the second season which will air on ZeeQ starting October 28. Season 2 will be much bigger in terms of participation and viewership, and hence, we have roped in Jayant Kripalani as the host of the show to take it to the next level. We are very happy to have Jayant on board who has had a proven track record in television and films. Through such shows, we, as a channel, intend to create a category of edutainment programmes."
For the record, ZeeQ targets kids in the age group of 0-14 years. The multi-platform channel is a Zee Learn initiative that aims to prepare children for the 21st century through programmes and stories that educate, inform and build life skills - all in an engaging manner.
