Sony has slipped back to No. 6, while Life Ok climbed to the fourth spot. Surprisingly, none of the shows of Life OK figured among the 10 most watched shows of the week.
For a couple of months now, Sony is finding it tough to hold its fort against SAB TV (its own sibling) and Life OK (a second rung GEC from Star India). Following this recent trend, Life OK is back at the fourth position, displacing Sony, which is now at No. 6.
As per TAM data (HSM, C&S, 4+, including LC1 markets) provided by a subscriber, Life OK collected 334306 GVTs in the week ended September 29. The Mahasangam of Do Dil Ek Jaan and Kaise Yeh Ishq Hai telecast on Wednesday, September 25, garnered 1809 TVTs.
Along with Life OK, SAB TV is the biggest gainer in Week 39. While Life OK grew by about 21000 TVTs, SAB TV grew its viewership by about 40000 GVTs, compared to that in Week 38. Following Star Plus is Colors with 458409 GVTs, decreasing ratings as compared to Week 38. The channel was in news when its recently popular show, Comedy Nights with Kapil's set caught fire. Nonetheless, the show, along with Baalika Vadhu, is a part of the top ten programmes' list in Week 39.
At No. 3 is Zee TV that closed the week with 384111 GVTs. The channel could manage to push two of its shows to the top shows' list.

For the record, TVT is television viewership in 1000s (TVR in 1000). It is the average number of individuals in '000s that are available at any given minute of a programme/day part that is under consideration. It captures growth in TV audiences in the country in absolute numbers. The TVR system, in contrast, works on percentages.
