At its Annual General Meeting held in Mumbai on September 24, Media Research Users Council (MRUC) has named Ravi Rao, leader, South Asia, Mindshare as its new chairman for the year 2013-14. He takes charge from Ravindra Kumar, editor and MD, The Statesman.
Over the years, Rao has worked on several accounts such as LG, Dulux, Pepsi and others.
Some of the other members who are also incorporated in the board are Benoy Roy Chowdhury, executive director, HT Media; Arun Anant, CEO, The Hindu; and Hormusji N Cama, director, Bombay Samachar. Cama was the MRUC chairman in 2011-12.
Rao has more than 20 years of experience in the media and advertising industry. He has worked with Lintas, BBDO Dubai, Mindshare Dubai and OMD Dubai, apart from Mindshare.
