Popular mattress brand Kurlon has appointed Dentsu Media as its media agency. The agency's Bengaluru office will work on this account.

The agency will be required to develop a media strategy that will help the brand reach out to its target audience and re-affirm its position in the market.

Sudhakar Pai, managing director, Kurlon, shares in a press note that the brand is currently at an important stage in its journey and needs a media partner that can reconcile its own objectives with what the media industry has to offer.

Talking about the win, Divya Gupta, CEO, Dentsu Media, says Kurlon as an organisation has the kind of "organisational philosophy" that fits in well with "the Dentsu way."

For the record, as mentioned on the company's website, Kurlon is part of the Rs 2,000 crore Manipal Group of Companies, founded by Manipal's Pai family, a major financial and industrial group in India. Kurlon employs more than 1000 people and provides indirect employment to lakhs of coir workers across the sub-continent The company has 44 sales offices located across the country and exports its products to West Asia, including places like the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, UK, Europe, and South and East of Africa, among several other regions.

Earlier this month, the Indian Army appointed Citizen Dentsu, a division of Dentsu Communications, to handle its creative duties, after a multi-agency pitch process in Delhi.
