Hiren Pandit, managing partner, GroupM has put in his papers at the agency. He was part of GroupM South Asia's executive committee (Exco) and was associated with the agency for nearly 13 years. In his role as managing partner, he took care of special projects with focus on improved productivity. It is not clear at this point what Pandit intends to do next.
Speaking about his experience at the agency, Pandit says, "It's been a wonderful journey with GroupM. After 31 years in the business, I thought it was time to take a break. Training, teaching and sports have always been a passion. Hopefully, I will be able to contribute in these spheres. It feels sad leaving a great organisation and some great people that I worked with."

In 2000, Pandit joined Mindshare in Mumbai. He then headed GroupM's entertainment, sports and partnerships practice in 2006. He was a part of Aspire, the agency's training programme. He was also associated with JWT for close to 12 years and left the agency as vice-president, media.
