The account will be serviced by Havas Media's New Delhi office.
Direct selling FMCG company Amway India has handed its media planning and buying duties of its beauty vertical to Havas Media India. The agency won the account in a multi-agency pitch and the account will be handled from the agency's New Delhi office. The account size could not, however, be determined. DDB Mudra is handling the mother brand and the nutrition vertical for Amway.
This will be the first time that the company will be launching its beauty products through mass media advertising in India. Amway will also use activation to spread the message.
Speaking on the development, Naveen Anand, CMO, Amway India says, "So far we were focused on building our Mother brand 'Amway' and our health and nutrition Brand 'Nutrilite'. Now we have decided to launch our beauty vertical in mass media. We were looking for an agency that would do justice to our beauty vertical - we found Havas Media to be the right partners with a sound strategy and a team which showed a lot of passion for our business."
Amway India is the wholly-owned subsidiary of $11.3 billion Amway Corporation, USA.
"We are delighted to have Amway as a part of our portfolio. It is a great brand to be associated with but more importantly they are a great client to work with," states Anita Nayyar, CEO, Havas Media Group, India and South Asia.
"It is great news for us at Havas Media which has been consolidating businesses over the last many years. We look forward to a long and mutually rewarding relationship," adds Mohit Joshi, managing director, Havas Media India.
Havas Media offers media and marketing solutions across the gamut of media and includes Havas Sports and Entertainment, Mobext for mobile solutions and Ecselis for performance marketing.
