Shailesh Shah joins IBF as secretary general

With 28 years of experience behind him, Shah will take on the responsibility of secretary general at Indian Broadcasting Foundation.

Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) has announced the appointment of Shailesh Shah as secretary general. With more than 28 years of experience in a variety of industries, Shah will augment IBF's efforts to build a robust and profitable broadcasting industry in India.

Shah has worked with several major companies such as The Hay Group, Price Waterhouse, Watson Wyatt, Satyam Computers and the JSW Group. He was also associated with several organisations such as The World Economic Forum, The Economic Development Board of Singapore and NASSCOM.

Manjit Singh, president, Indian Broadcasting Foundation, says, "Shailesh's wide experience in delving into industry fundamentals to drive value creation will be of immense value to the foundation."

Shah is a mechanical engineer; he has a Master's degree in Operations Research and an MBA in Finance. He has studied at Bangalore University, Syracuse University, Drexel University and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Indian Broadcasting Foundation was established in 1999 as the country's premium apex organisation of television broadcasters. It promotes the interests of the Indian television industry. IBF consists of major broadcasters with more than 250 TV channels and enjoys a unique position as the accredited voice of the broadcasting industry.
