Platinum Media, a unit of the Madison Media Group, has been awarded the media planning and buying mandate for portals MagicBricks.com in a multi agency pitch. MagicBricks is a part of Times Business Solutions, a wholly owned arm of Bennett Coleman & Co Ltd (BCCL). The size of the account is estimated at Rs 20 crore. The company has been quiet on the media front for quite some time now; its mandate was being handled by The Media Edge (TME).

MagicBricks.com provides a platform for property buyers and sellers to locate properties of interest and source information on the real estate space, whereas TimesJobs is an Indian online recruitment portal. MagicBricks.com was launched by Times Business Solutions in August 2006.

Times Business Solutions also operates online properties like Simplymarry.com, Ads2Book.com, PeerPower.com and TechGig.com. According to the agency, the company is set to come up with new campaign for both brands shortly.

Madison Media recently won a host of new businesses including Ruchi Soya, Max India's corporate account, Café Coffee Day, Radikal Rice and Crompton Greaves. In 2012, Platinum Media won Dixcy Textiles' media mandate.

Speaking to afaqs!, Basabdutta Chowdhury, CEO, Platinum Media, says, "We are delighted with this new win and confident to take MagicBricks.com to great heights and are looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership."

Sudhir Pai, business head, MagicBricks.com, says, "We were looking for a partner who could match our speed and could scale operations with the agility that the internet space demands."

The story first appeared on afaqs! based on a discussion with Madison Platinum spokesperson. Following the publication of the story, TBSL got in touch with afaqs! claiming that the agency had just won the MagicBricks.com business. Madison Platinum later clarified that the win was restricted to Magicbricks.com only. Hence, the correction has been made in the story.
